Port McNeill, B.C. April 28, 2021 - Today is an important day of reflection and mourning in our operations and throughout the industry. Every year, on April 28, workers, families, employers, and others come together at events held around the province to remember those who have lost their lives on the job, and to renew our commitment to creating safer workplaces. It is an important day to pause, reflect, analyze, grieve, remind ourselves that safety is the number one priority, always.

Here is a link to the WorkSafeBC Day of Mourning information, and the Forestry Safety information page. Please, we want all workers, colleagues, families and people to read as much as they can about the culture of work place safety. More information is also available from the BC Forest Safety Council.

With care, Gilakas'la.
